There are no options for users who want to make interactive experiences.
Workarounds

Two common ways for users to create an interactive experience are building a website or a game. There are a few website builders that run on mobile (eg: Universe) but these are still deployed via web, not providing content you can deliver directly.

Historical Technology

Two generations of technology have allowed end users to easily create experiences. These pre-date the rise of mobile devices. Both created a document which could be played on a commonly-available runtime. The Hypercard environment was bundled with Mac computers for several years (pre-Web).

Flash

Hypercard

3 points posted by andydentperth /problems/349-small-social-bits-like-memes-arent-interactive-photo-socialmedia 349 Fri, 14 Jan 2022 22:02:00 +0000 Capturing good photos from any phone #photography #phone I don't take pictures to post to social networks often, so I run my phone until software updates are available, as cameras are usually the only distinguishing feature even among flagships.

But, when I do take a photograph (usually insects, birds and animals) I would like the picture to be good. But, it is rarely the case as only few smartphone manufacturers have got the knack of capturing good photographs even though the hardware (sensor, lens, processor) are the same.

Their secret sauce lies in the machine learning powered image processing software, as spectacularly demonstrated by Google with their pixel lineup of phones and few other manufacturers.

So why not take that software to the cloud and let anyone get good quality photographs from any mobile? All current smartphones can capture images in RAW format, with better Internet bandwidth on the phone, a RAW format image can be uploaded to the cloud for ML - image processing while a lower quality JPEG can be displayed on the phone. Once processed, higher quality pictures can be shared to the social network or downloaded.

I think a phone camera app with this service can fill a large need gap of getting good photos on any phone. 3 points posted by Abishek Muthian /problems/143-capturing-good-photos-from-any-phone-photography-phone 143 Thu, 23 Jul 2020 13:23:00 +0000 Collaboratively edit group photos in realtime #photography #editing Thanks to smartphone, we take inordinate amount of photographs. We edit the photographs before posting it to the social networks or chat apps to look the best of ourselves or at least we like to think so!

But, we cannot edit others in a group photo or group selfie as editing how others look in our photograph without their consent seems inappropriate and so most of the time only the person who owns the smartphone in which the group photo/selfie was taken gets to edit the picture.

I would like an app which allows editing group photo in realtime collaboratively, across all platforms and agree upon a final version once every one in the picture has approved.
3 points posted by Bakshara /problems/47-collaboratively-edit-group-photos-in-realtime-photography-editing 47 Wed, 30 Oct 2019 16:51:00 +0000 Social media for uncompressed photos and videos #socialmedia #photo MKBHD a smartphone YouTuber recently published the annual The Blind Camera Test and as usual an unexpected contender wins the test like previous years. It largely comes down to image compression by the social media platforms.

I was wondering when many including myself are spending lot of money in buying a smartphone for its camera to post good quality photographs to social media, social media platform's compression defeats that purpose.

I understand that compression reduces Internet data consumption, but high speed Internet with unlimited data caps is not an issue where I live and others who are in similar circumstance might prefer a social media where photos and videos are not compressed.
1 points posted by Bakshara /problems/176-social-media-for-uncompressed-photos-and-videos-socialmedia-photo 176 Mon, 07 Dec 2020 13:25:00 +0000
