Stock images are being used by those who cannot afford or convene a professional photoshoot for marketing or other creative purposes. But, stock images/videos get used for the same purpose by many and thereby looses its value becoming counterintuitive.

Even, paid stock images/videos face this problem.

I would like to buy stock images, videos from a wide selection at affordable rates for my marketing which is owned just by me and is not available for anyone else to use i.e. exclusive rights only to the buyer.

My local body is a joke, so we have to clean the leaf debris from the road every day ourself in our street. This has become a huge chore, wasting our time and energy. This has lead to many residents despising road side trees in-spite of we being in the dire need of more trees for the sake of the environment. We have a law against cutting down public trees.

I would like to hear some solutions to grow more trees in the public areas but without the nuisance of having to clean its debris every day.

Web software consumer market has been behaviourally optimised to seek 'FREE' products. People happily use low quality free products, which steal their data, control their free speech and elect governments for them; but stay away from high quality, reasonably priced products which offer better values for their price.

If this continues, only monopolies which can spend Billions in advertising their free products can continue their business and small businesses which aims to provide better value cannot even reach their customers.

There is a need for a new marketing phenomenon which can help such reasonably priced products reach their intended customers i.e. those who are willing to pay for better value and create a behavioural change towards buying high quality, sustainable products.

Current video indexing are mostly done by converting 'speech-to-text' and then indexing it. This is mostly done to save on compute resources and that algorithms to index video with visual data are not as stable as that of text.

e.g. Searching for a video for an old man with red shoes wouldn't yield results unless there was an audio in the video describing it when using speech-to-text indexing.

It is said that even Youtube hasn't indexed all its video by visual data due to sheer number of videos. There APIs available like that from Microsoft which claim to enable video indexing with visual meta data, but they are not a on-premise solution and so using those might rake up bills if the number of videos are large.

There is a need gap for on-premise video indexing technology.

I like plain T-shirts, from what I see in my office and outside; I guess so do many. Plain T-shirts are look neat, clean, time saving (even though I haven't taken the extreme measure of wearing single colour every day to avoid decision fatigue) and most importantly it is appropriate for an office environment.

I want a good quality plain T-shirt of different colour sent to me every month for a reasonable price. There are clothing subscription services in India, but they do exactly opposite of what I need; they cater to the fashion (or is it anti-fashion) conscious customers and so they include shoes, belt, glasses & what not along with mediocre clothing at a premium price.

I would happily pay half of what the current clothing subscription services charge for just a different coloured T-shirt every month.

'Likes' are the current social currency and are integral part of the online video hosting sites like Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook etc. We can see the number of likes on the video, but we don't know at which point in the video users pressed the like button.

If the user likes are represented as some form of distribution graph overlaid at the bottom of the videos, we can skip to that part of the video directly if needed i.e. skipping to the good part of the video instantaneously.

Thinking about this, skipping to the good part of the video might be exactly the reason why the video hosting sites don't provide this feature as it could be used to skip Ads; then again Ads could be inserted right at the most liked segment of the video nor that I favour such practices or that it is not already happening.

But, this might further add up to the problem of limited attention, instant gratification as people might just watch only the most liked part.

There is a need gap for enabling public 'Like' analytics for videos by the video hosting sites. If you agree with this need gap, do share your opinion and let the video hosting sites listen to you.

Imagine for a moment, the world as imagined by J.R.R Tolkien, George R.R Martin, H.G. Wells etc. coming to life before our eyes when the pages of 'The Lord of the Rings' or 'A Song of Ice and Fire' or 'The War of the Worlds' etc. are seen via smartphone or via Virtual Reality headsets.

I feel, we can breathe a new life to the even century old fictional books by making use of the advancement of the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies. The authors mentioned above are world builders first and authors next. Their worlds, deserves to be seen with fresh technologies as and when it is available.

Besides, in the age of instant gratification and limited attention span an interactive experience when consuming content from the physical books should go in a long way to improve reading habits according to me. So, there seems to be need gap for AR, VR services which could make books interactive.

So I watch anime, and the problem I have now was that there was no simple way to find information such as "Synopsis"

"year of release" or "the episode count". Yes sites like MAL (My anime List) and AniList exist but the problem with those

sites is that they have a overload of information and you had to "get used to the site" before knowing where to look.

I myself haven't been interested in other details such as cast and staff as I've only needed the synopsis of a show to get into it

and this led to my solution.

When developing software systems, knowledge of a domain (possibly many) is required to come up with the requirements of that system. often times, It's very hard to gather these domain requirements, and requires someone who's delved in the domain. This is especially problematic for a single person or a technical-only team.

Of course, technical people who develop such software systems try to learn about the domain. For example, they Google about the topic, go to Statista to read research made in the domain, and they might even talk to (or hire) domain experts about the system they are developing. However, this is not always feasible due to time, cost and/or nature of domains.

Personally, this problem occurred to me when brewing up an E-Commerce SaaS idea. I looked at other players in this field: Shopify, WordPress. etc. and I found it very hard to find to find the domain problems of E-Commerce as someone who has 0 domain experience.

I'm young enough to not know a world without Social media and smartphones. I've been using both all my life. Since then the platforms changed, the world changed, but so have i. I owe a lot to the internet, it made me who i am and give me a future, but i feel in my bones that the modern web slaved me. It made me a dopamine inducing machine, a behavioral addict for profit. At my lowest i spent 12 hours/day browsing mindlessly various platforms. Few days ago after 3 years of fighting i finally deleted Facebook. I tried to find various ways to use it specifically for the value it created for me, but it in end it wasn't possible. The negatives outgrow the positives by far...

The only social media i currently use is Twitter. I use it but in a very constrained way. I follow mostly people from a specific field i'm interested and i see it as a platform that gives me access to people, information/knowledge, and discussions that i would never had access otherwise.

I need a script for twitter where it would grep the most liked/retweeted tweets by my followers from my timeline and exports them to a pdf for later read.

Online shopping is great but often I miss the advice by a professional sales worker, especially on higher priced / more complex products.

Think anything electronics (smartphone, laptops, etc.) for example - before I buy something these days, I have to go through rigorous research before making any decision. Used to be easier where you would go into 2-3 stores and talked to the local sales rep.

Especially true for non technical people like me. In the end, I find myself reading some benchmark tests I have no idea what they mean.

That being said, you do get some advice at some online retailers but obviously only for products they have in store.

They don't compare it to other items and even if you have settled on one item, the price comparison only begins...

I would like to migrate from my decade old Gmail account to another email service provider. Downloading the emails from Gmail is straightforward.

But changing the email id to current email id across different services we are using is a pain, Especially for those services where we don't use 'Sign in with Google'.

Current strategy to find the services we are using with the Gmail id involves searching for account activation information, There are services which automate this but they are not 100% accurate as some services especially those from Govt. don't send account activation email.

I believe the answer is gratitude and a few years ago, I started a gratitude practice and tried incorporating different things over time. After I found something that really worked for me, I turned it into an app.

Mint/YNAB do a good job of seeing where money went, Personal Capital/Wealthfront do a good job of seeing where to put your money. But what does it all mean in terms of how far away a person is from Financial Independence given their individual circumstances? Seems like most of the software out there today makes things more complicated, which makes it even harder to have confidence that you're on the right track.

Also frustrating that a given amount of money is hard to relate to what it will actually get you in terms of real-world benefit, given your own tastes and habits.

There are many homework solvers like Chegg, CourseHero, SolutionInn, etc. which offer similar services but their prices are quite high for someone living in a third world country like Mexico. We have a WhatsApp group in which we are a lot of people solving homework problems yet only one of them has a Chegg subscription and it's awful that everyone asks her the answers because nobody (but her) can afford a Chegg subscription.

This affects students who need their homework solutions ASAP and those with Chegg subscriptions who don't want to be bothered by people (who don't have those) asking them to give their answers.

Tab groups are a major productivity feature in modern browsers, If not available by default there are add-ons which enable them. This allows us to group various tabs in the browser to avoid clutter and easy access.

Although individual websites are synced between PC and the mobile using a common account the tab groups aren't synced. So same level of productivity is not available on mobile browsers.

Audiobooks are a great medium for enjoying a story when occupied by some other task, i.e. driving or cooking. Since most people can read much faster than the speed language is spoken at, reading text is the preferred method if one can apply their full attention. Why can't I listen to an audiobook while driving home, then pick up where I left off in the ebook?

Existing solutions for this experience require users to buy the audiobook and ebook separately on different platforms which do not sync with each other, meaning a lot of time spent flipping through pages in the ebook (the number of which is completely unknown as it is not information available when listening to the audiobook) to find where to resume reading.

Long twitter threads are becoming more common but reading twitter threads is cumbersome and it reflects in views dropping subsequently for the threaded tweets.

We can read server different types of content on Kindle apart from the books, nowadays even newsletters can be sent to the kindle. But kindle is lacking a urban dictionary to explore words from such content.

Fortunately dictionaries can easily be loaded onto a kindle and all that is required is to create an urban dictionary in e-book format. I couldn't find anything like that as of now.

It's very time-consuming for me to search for language-learning resources.

And when I do find one, it turned out to be a low quality and half-baked content. It's demoralizing.

Most sites that are listing resources are filled with affiliate links and advertisements. Some aren't even genuine.

It's difficult to learn a language seriously when there is no syllabus or even a guide to help me chart my way in learning a language.

It should be possible to use TWS ear buds with 4 microphones for a reasonable hearing assist device which would help many people with a minor hearing problem to be able to use the less obvious less expensive buds for their hearing loss. I believe the solution should be available with the existing technology included with many of the lower priced ear buds that have noise cancelling technology using some or all of the microphones but directing the input directly to the speaker. If a solution could be found, many people who are to embarrased to wear a hearing aid could wear some of the more obvious earbuds such as the ones shaped like Beats brand and avoid the stigmas attached to hearing loss at a younger aids. Also I have found some ear buds that are available for under six bucks wholesale that match the parameters and I would be willing to make them available at a small markup. I am willing to do this because I have a few relatives who have lost most of their hearing in their forty's.

I find this process just hugely inconsistent and it's really hard to manage because all the companies have their own special process so a spreadsheet doesn't really work. A GitHub awesome list is collection of related GitHub repositories on a topic. E.g. Here is an awesome list on Free programming e-books - https://github.com/EbookFoundation/free-programming-books/blob/master/books/free-programming-books.md .

When I encounter such lists, I have to check each project for their GitHub stars (rating by users) for their popularity. If the stars are displayed besides the repositories, It can help me save time.

In today's world we organize by different apps. For example - email has its own folder structure, slack has its own channels, confluence has its own pages and g-drive dances to a different tune. This is a very reactive approach.

As a thinkers and doers, on the other hand we want to be proactive. And a better way to organize work would be around topics important to us, while apps are relegated to the background.

Online investment communities (e.g. Wall Street Bets) are too big, they often lead to noisy, low quality discussions. It’s extremely hard to find people we can trust and have thoughtful conversations around investments with.

If there's a platform which can match me with like-minded individuals into small, tight-knit investment clubs it can help address this problem. Matching criteria could be based on our risk appetite, investment theses, time commitment, etc. Potentially each community can vote on its own portfolio, trade alongside each other and compete with other investment clubs.

No code tools like Facebook Spark AI, Snapchat Lens Studio, BlippAR has made creating social AR content possible for many, But these still have a learning curve and naturally the AR content created by experienced creators is more impressive than one created by a newbie like me.
