In response to this problem I have developed Hybiscus, https://hybiscus.dev/, which is a cloud based SaaS for generating PDF reports using a simple JSON API. All you need to is define the content using the JSON schema and submit the task to the API. No requirement for installing bulky software as it all runs in the cloud, whilst the selection of pre-designed components ensures your reports always looks professional.
