• I was looking through a popular tech channel (I forgot the name of it) where an employee reads from a script several times and then the last take of the script (the full read-through without errors) is taken. A lot of the editing is going through and finding where the employee reads the script without errors, or taking correctly read sections.

    Given a script S and voice V which, when transcribed yields S' (a transcription sufficiently close to the script), perhaps an algorithm could be created to match up the video segments and parts of the script. Then, the editor's job would be to pick the longest length of video which aligns with the script, or to choose multiple pieces which together equal the entire script. The pieces would automatically be tagged to assist the editor and they could just click on the item which is the longest.
