▲ ▼ Fogging of glasses when wearing face mask
Those who wear spectacles have to put up with another drag when wearing masks - The fog which forms over the glasses with every breath.
I've tried different solutions from wipes, sprays to gels although only the gel seems to do something but I'm not keen on putting chemicals on glasses in proximity to the eyes.
How are you managing the fogging of glasses when wearing mask and what can be done about it.
There is a category of product called "mask fitters" which are intended to make your mask more effective by preventing air from escaping around the mask to the sides. As a side effect, your glasses don't fog as much either. Two I know of are "badger seal" (an easy-to-diy design from U-Wisconsin) and "fixthemask" dot com, a silicone strap. I've used the latter, and although it's finicky to put on, it's effective. It's definitely made mask-wearing on chilly days much less annoying for me!
+1 to this, I've been searching for a good mask to avoid this but unfortunately all masks that I try I have to buy. would help if any product is available for this.
The KR94 masks, made in Korea, hug the top of the face very nicely and mostly prevent my glasses from fogging.
This is an embarrassing problem, I had to switch to contact lenses to avoid this but having to meddle with contact lenses during COVID seems like a bad idea.
