▲ ▼ Real world benchmarking for hardware
Semiconductor manufacturers e.g. CPU manufacturers have to rely upon data centers and operating system manufacturers to get real world benchmarks to improve their designs as they have only synthetic benchmarks at their disposal. This process is convoluted and doesn't give optimum results. I think there is a large need-gap to bridge between software publishers and semiconductor industry regarding this.
Software publishers collect telemetry from their users regarding the performance of their product, the telemetry as it is or including hardware specific logs could be invaluable to the hardware manufacturers. A business which eliminates the need for direct communication between both parties could improve the overall process efficiency.
