▲ ▼ Browser tabs become unmanageable fast
When working remotely at a tech company, I use a lot of different SaaS apps, so essentially, all my work is done in the browser. So very quickly, I find that the number of tabs in my internet browser grows to unmanageable counts.
This forces me to stop what I'm doing, and spend time curating my window of tabs to reduce the count so I can continue doing my work. Existing solutions often facilitate curating your tabs in different ways.
Chrome profiles work up to a limit, but when you are multitasking everyday, it doesn't make sense to create multiple profiles for even short-lived distractions.
Are you a part of SigmaOS team or a satisfied user? Either way I would like to hear more about what you feel about it.
You're maybe looking for Workona browser extension - https://workona.com/
You create Workspaces with tabs and switch between them. The unused tabs are archived in the meantime, not using as much computer resources.
I'm using it now for a few months and honestly I couldn't live without it.
They recently switched to a paid model, where you can create only 5 workspaces for free and after payment ($7/month) you get to create unlimited workspaces.
Yes, I know workona. What I have built is similar but with less restrictions and hopefully easier to use. Since you’ve used workona, would love it if you tried tabworkx and gave your feedback on it. I’m open to adding features that you think would be more useful to your workflow.

Try this out
TabWorkx is “git checkout” for your browser. Easily switch between your browser windows. Find specific tabs quickly or group tabs that belong to the same app with one click. Done with that tab for now, but might want to revisit it later? No problem, just right click and archive it.
Try the TabWorkx chrome extension - https://tabworkx.com/ and let me know what you think. All feedback is welcome, good or bad.
This is a hard problem to solve, glad you are solving it in an interesting way. I usually try to close all unused tabs to stay focused, since you are working in this problem space, any insights on how customers are using it?
I’ve just gotten Google analytics installed, so I can only see visitors. Next step is to install mix panel so I can see how it’s being used.
But so far, it’s been a mixed response. Those who feel the problem acutely love this product. Others are just indifferent about it.
But I’m still taking in feedback and iterating / adding features.
Have you taken it for a spin? I would love to get your feedback on it.
Thanks for the note. By the way, I tried logging in with my account and could not do so. Then I tried the forget password link and it said my account did not exist (even though I used the same email). So I had to create a second account to comment here. First account was Tabworkx, and this second one is Tabwerkx.
