▲ ▼ Cash registering machines look dated
Last week, I was going to a trip to Austin, Texas with my family. One day, I went to Walmart and I saw that the cash registering machines that looked dated and could probably need a better look since the ones they were using were outdated and could have a better look so it can be more useful to the employees.
I don't think Walmart needs any help generating more revenue..
As a solution, there could be better looking cash registering machine with fresher looks and an easier to use software in which you can register objects faster and easier. As a result, this can lead to people paying for their products so much faster that the time spent in the line to pay will be dramatically shorter.
There could be few shops which are still using old mechanical cash machines while the majority have switched to computerized systems; All it requires now is a mobile app, a PoS machine and so it's not a matter of cost to set it up.
Did you ask why they didn't switch to a computerized system? My guess is that they are not just willing to change, Perhaps and old mom&pop shop with very few customers at a time.
