▲ ▼ Outdated answers on stackoverflow
stack overflow has been the go to programming Q&A forum for over a decade, Hence much of its answers is outdated while the questions remain valid. Unless those who answered it initially update their answer regularly, The answers contain old information which may not be true currently.
This leads to new programmers consuming wrong information when newer and better solutions exist.
We need a way to mark outdated answers on stackoverflow and possibly replace it with current accurate information.
I think the new trending sort method in Stack overflow fixes this issue.

Perhaps may be solutions which link to API (or) language documents could be version checked to determine whether the solution is outdated.
That makes sense, Do you think it can be done using a browser extension?
If the networking restrictions can be overcome, I think a browser extension is a good platform to address this problem.
