▲ ▼ Human memory, lack of thereof
Human memory is overrated, they are weak and fallible. Study shows we tend to think that we will remember something important more than we will. False memory can be implanted in someone's mind extremely easily, something which marketers, politicians, elements with nefarious intentions have been exploiting for centuries and our brain itself can create false memories to cope with trauma.
Then there are numerous memory biases which clout our judgement leading to undesirable consequences for ourselves and for others around us.
In-spite of hard scientific evidence that our memory cannot be trusted, our day-to-day life, stability of the society; especially the legal system is built upon human memory. We need frictionless solutions to improve human memory.
Finally, I've built a project which directly addresses a problem related to Human memory, lack of thereof in the form of Memory Hammer to address the problem of Anki review accumulation ( /problems/384 ) .
Human Brain Compresses Working Memories into Low-Res 'Summaries' - https://directorsblog.nih.gov/2022/04/12/human-brain-compresses-working-memories-into-low-res-summaries/ .
Please try Personal.ai ( https://personal.ai ) - we are approaching this problem as follows:
1. Capture most of what you create and consume since 80% is lost - we create ambient tools to capture.
2. Create a digital memory vault that's automated via predicted AI models, called Memory Stack and a model that is trained on your Stack, your own Personal AI.
3. Connect to your AI that unlocks bidirectional messaging with your own AI to recall in the moment, sometimes entirely autonomous.
Thank you!
Hi Suman!
Personal.ai debuted on Product Hunt on 11/4/21 with a one-day PROMO CODE: "When you sign up, if you use promo code PRODUCTHUNT for today only (November 4th, until 11:59 PM PDT), you will also get a free yearly subscription when we start to commercialize our product."
Would you be willing to create a similar offer for our needgap community?
We're a smaller group than PH, but may provide an equally dedicated userbase with a shared problem-focused interest in helping to grow "products that people (and their AI's) want."
Looking forward to signing up for Personal.ai (with a promo code) soon! ;)
Thank you @kanugantisuman !
I have thought about this numerous times, it only lead to a password app idea which did not really mature even in my mind. Memory has such opportunities also because we strive to remember.
>password app idea which did not really mature even in my mind
What was that password app idea about?
