In response to this, I decided to create my own music theory learning resource over at https://muted.io/. I wanted to create a website that would make it easy to play the different scales and chords online. I also wanted to make a resource that would be an easy reference and help me and others avoid having to remember so much. For example, I created this page for an easy reference to major and minor scales: https://muted.io/major-minor-scales/
My plan is to continue expanding this resource and add to it more and more, especially as I learn myself the music theory concepts and think of good ways to break them down in a simpler more straightforward way.
I hope that this solution is helpful to others that are facing a similar challenge.
