▲ ▼ Receive WhatsApp messages without using WhatsApp
I am done with WhatsApp, but all my friends and family still use it as their primary app for communication.
I am looking for a way to receive WhatsApp messages on Signal or Telegram without using WhatsApp and it looks like there are several others on the same boat as me.
Is there something which solves this problem? Can something be built to solve this?
It's technically possible to get WhatsApp messages on other platforms, but it will defeat the purpose of you wanting to leave the WhatsApp platform.
I looked at the Tasker, but not exactly sure how to go about implementing this. So you're telling me it's technically possible to have a virtual WhatsApp on cloud as a service?
how is it better than having WhatsApp on your phone? you're still using their service, this includes sharing who you talk to, when, etc.
the only difference is it would be an overhead to operate. the whole purpose of leaving WhatsApp is to AVOID their service, not avoid having an app installed on your phone. (you'd use a sandbox vm/cloud/emulator for that)
You can read how to send and receive WhatsApp message through email on my blog - https://abishekmuthian.com/send-and-receive-whatsapp-messages-through-email/ .
hey that's a nice no code solution! (comment was too short?)
Thanks, the content has been updated with a solution for encryption as well.
Thank you, I appreciate it. I am going to try out the automation this weekend.
Also I am looking into the app streaming part, it seems like a great business opportunity.
