▲ ▼ Taking notes from Hacker News comments
Hacker News from YCombinator is a news submission website optimized for gratifying one's intellectual curiosity. Regular readers know that the real gold is in the comments of Hacker News.
But in the urge to submit/respond to the comments, FOMO other HN stories the knowledge in the comments are often lost if not saved(favorites). Even if saved, Memory ( /problems/41 ) should serve right to get what we need and when we need it.
I feel there's a need gap for a better note taking solution for assimilating knowledge from Hacker News discussions.
I'm building a solution for this by leveraging note taking and library facilities offered by Kindle by sending Hacker News stories to it. Besides, the e-paper goodness is a cherry on the top.
No prizes for guessing the name of the service - HN to Kindle.
As of now I send topmost HN stories and plan to develop further if people want it like I do.
I've been using HN to Kindle for past couple of days, It has indeed reduced my urge to check HN frequently due to FOMO and now I instead read in on kindle every morning and night.
Thank you!
Thanks for using HN to Kindle Shinzo! I'm glad that it has increased your productivity.
