▲ ▼ Identifying gender from a name for marketing
In my job, I get to communicate with overseas customers over email; it is tough to find the gender from the foreign name which we are not used to, for using appropriate title.
I guess, this may be a problem faced by others performing similar roles and if so I would like to know how they deal with it.

So far my tests has yielded correct results, how many countries do you support? Does the names need to be spelled in English?
Names from all countries are supported. Even the ones that use different alphabets.
In case the name is not known, we guess it with artificial intelligence. That way you will always get a result.

I use large name databases to look up names.
In case the entered name is not in the database, the system guesses it with neural nets.
Users are able to correct names to improve the service.

I have used https://genderize.io with pretty good success. Have processed ~10K names.
