▲ ▼ Simple chat room without subscription
Okay, it's not a real big problem but sometimes I want to be able to chat with several people at the same time without creating a Discord or Slack group. I'd like to have something temporary, with a simple link. You can answer me Google meet, but I'm looking for something focused on chatting asynchronously.
ECC Network is working on a decentralized chat solution. MVP/demo should be ready soon. https://ecc.network/
You can join the discord here: https://discord.com/invite/BYBhQVq
I believe hack.chat is your solution, mainly because of its simplicity and ease of access
I'd go with any result on Google for "collaborative text editor". setup a public pad, write your text, delete it. and you're done! it's likely they don't even save history, but who knows. free, anonymous, literally instant messaging.
Why don’t you want to use Slack/Discord?
What’s the use case for a temporary good chat?
I can see why that works for SnapChat, but I’m struggling to see the practicality of it for group messaging
Not a big fan of realtime communication either, but isn't a 'chat' always synchronous unlike say an email?
Anyways there was something which addressed the first part of your problem - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocat , all that was needed was a link to the chat and anyone could chat through their browser is a secure way; But it's gone now.
